This site collects nothing.

That is the entire policy, and the rest of this page exists only to say it precisely enough to be checkable. Effective 17 September 2026.

This page covers kaindness.org only. The GRACEful CheckIns product and the free kAI service handle real people's information and have their own, much longer, policies.

What we collect

Nothing, and here is what that means in practice.

ThingOn this site
CookiesNone. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything.
AnalyticsNone. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no heatmaps, no session recording.
FormsThere are none. Every contact route on this site is a plain mailto: link that opens your own email program.
AccountsThere is nothing to sign in to.
AdvertisingNone, and no data is sold or shared with anyone for it.
Third-party contentNone. Fonts are served from this domain, not from Google Fonts. No embedded video, no chat widget, no tag manager. Loading a page here contacts no company but ours.

Why the fonts matter. A site that pulls its typefaces from a font CDN tells that CDN your IP address and which page you read, every visit. Self-hosting them is a few hundred kilobytes of inconvenience for us and one fewer company watching you.

What the server sees

The unavoidable part, stated rather than hidden.

This site is static files behind Amazon CloudFront. Serving a page necessarily involves your device asking our content network for it, and AWS processes that request to deliver it. We have not enabled CloudFront access logging or real-time logs, so no request log is delivered to us, retained by us, or analysed by us.

AWS may process request data transiently for delivery, security and abuse prevention under its own terms as our processor. We receive none of it.

If you email us

The one place you give us something.

When you write to hello@kaindness.org, we get what you send: your address, your name if you sign it, and whatever is in the message. We use it to reply and to keep track of the conversation. Mail is hosted on Microsoft 365.

We keep correspondence for as long as the matter is live and for a reasonable period after, and we do not add you to a mailing list — there isn't one.

Your rights

California and elsewhere.

California residents have rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including to know what personal information a business has collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We have not collected any personal information through this website, do not sell or share personal information, and use no sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics.

If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write to hello@kaindness.org and say so. We will not ask you why and we will not charge you.

Under CalOPPA: we do not track across third-party sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to change. If that ever stops being true this page changes first.

Children

Not the audience, and not collected from.

This is a business website aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and there is no mechanism here by which we could.

Changes and contact

How you would know.

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. Because the current policy is "nothing," any change would mean we started collecting something — so it would be a real change, described plainly, not a quiet edit.
